Komets Sign Former Viper Coughlin:

The ECHL Fort Wayne Komets have signed former Vernon Vipers

defenceman Johnny Coughlin.

Komets set to open training camp February 1st

Coughlin was suppose to enter his second season with the ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones this year. The Cyclones re-signed Coughlin August 12th 2020. The Cyclones announced they have opt out of the 2020-21 season as part of the ECHL's Covid-19 Voluntary Suspension policy. The Cyclones plan to return to play for the 2021-22 season. Coughlin had two goals in nine games with Cincinnati last year.

Coughlin started the 2019-20 season with the ECHL Maine Mariners was traded to the ECHL Norfolk Admirals October 16th 2019. Coughlin played in nine games with the Admirals before being traded to Cincinnati February 20th 2020. 

Coughlin played for seasons at the College of Holly Cross, signed his first professional contract with the ECHL Maine Mariners March 15th 2019.

Coughlin played one season in Vernon (2014-15) In 55 games with the Vipers, Coughlin collected (3-goals-15-assists-18-points).
