Ashton Commits To Vernon Vipers:

16 year old defenceman Luke Ashton has committed to the Vernon Vipers for the 2021-22 season.

The Western Hockey League Red Deer Rebels selected Luke Ashton 50th overall in round 3 at the WHL Bantam Draft.

The Vipers have been busy in 2021 making several announcements regarding committed players for next season.

Luke Ashton is a monster at only 16 yrs old. Listed at 6'5 203lbs Wow! I looked up his profile and thought this was a mistake. If this kid can develop and become a solid BCHL defencemen this kid will be a big asset for the Vipers for many years to come. My only problem is the Western Hockey League is drooling over kids this big and especially at a young age. Ashton was drafted by Red Deer in the Bantam Draft, let's see how much the Rebels try and convince him to play in the WHL.
