Announcing committed players for next season during the current BCHL season must be a new trend? In previous years all teams didn't announce new recruits/committed players until the summer or closer to training camp. This year most teams have been making player announcements during the 2021-22 season.
Blackburn put up some good numbers and has some size. One thing I have noticed about the committed players for next season is four of the five players are over 6'0
I'm not going to get too excited due to the fact that the Vipers recruiting has been sub par the past few seasons. How many committed players have we seen get cut during training camp or traded early into the season? Let's see what happens with these kids next year and see how long they stay in Vernon.
Here is a look at next year's committed players,
Ludovik Tardiff Max Seguin Will Blackburn Dane Weston Connor Chalmers
I think that these announcements have a lot to do with the sale of season tickets. If the team can show that there will be a lot of new, and hopefully better, players, they might be able to quell the rebellion by season ticket holders and keep some of them interested. And maybe buying season tickets.
For twenty something years my renewal was automatic. This year I've had second thoughts but I'm leaning towards renewing. Just a slight lean.
