I watched last night's game on the computer. I love watching games online from Wenatchee. The quality is great and the atmosphere is always electric! This was a very good game in the first two periods, with both teams playing hard but it looked like the Vipers always had a slight edge in play. Tempers heated up on several occasions through out the game, as lots of pushing and shoving-scrums occurred. Vernon blew the game open in the 3rd and come away with the 5-1 victory on the road in one of the toughest rinks to play in. For the second straight night, the Snakes took way too many penalties but like in Merritt were very solid on the penalty kill. The Snakes PK was awesome in both games over the weekend. This was just the Vipers second win over Wenatchee since the Wild joined the league three years ago. The Snakes now off to a 4-0 start to the season. I know its easy, but the Vipers are playing very well and look good this season.

Go Vipers Go!

Was at the game, surprised not to see more Viper fans make the drive. The tickets were $20 US but it is a full night of entertainment so worth the cost. Wenatchee knows how to put on a show. Fabulous arena.
I thought the Vipers played a good game, their speed was very evident. The new recruits are all playing well early in the season. Yamnitsky was the big difference as he was out to show the Wild they had erred in letting him go. Spoke to some fans who were disappointed he left & were cheering for him. Nice to see.
This was the first home game for the Wild so there were player introductions prior to puck drop. I remember the Vipers had to get down to 23 players before the regular season started yet the Wild introduced 25 players on the ice. Possibly some injuries & AP's?
Pretty funny half way through 3rd period one Ref called a hooking penalty, skated to penalty bench and made the sign but then forgot who he was calling the penalty on. Players on both sides were puzzled. Refs ended up dropping the puck 5 on 5 with no one in the box. Whoops!!!
