The 3-0-1-0 Powell River Kings enter the BCHL Showcase playing their first of two games in Chilliwack. The Kings will face the Trail Smoke Eaters in their second and final game of the Showcase Saturday. The Kings are coming off a 9-7 victory Saturday in Cowichan have won two straight and sit atop the Island Division. The Kings play five of their next eight away from home. Powell River is a single point up on 2nd place Nanaimo and three points up on 3rd place Victoria. Today is the first of three games between the Kings & Vipers. These two teams wont meet again until October 14th when the Kings are in Vernon. Powell River won both games over the Snakes last season outscoring the Vipers 8-3 in the two games.
