On This Day In Vernon Vipers History:

Six years ago today (March 8th 2019) Vernon Vipers forward Matt Kowalski

scored at 16:56 of the third overtime in a 4-3 triple overtime victory over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks in front of 2,394 fans at Kal Tire Place in Game 5 of the opening round of the playoffs. Aidan Porter made 48 saves in the win, while Ethan Langenegger made 52 saves in the loss. With the win, the Vipers win the best of 7 series 4-1 and advance to the second round.

A flash back from the past when the Vipers were a good hockey team, a team run by real hockey people. It was also a time when we knew all the players wearing the jersey.

Matt was a very skilled player and gave us many highlights. I remember his Michigan goal, his third of the game against Alberni. He really was a treat to watch.
