I watched tonight's game on my computer. Sherwood Park was by far the better team for most of the hockey game. The Vipers opened the scoring and played well for parts of the 1st period but either couldn't score or didn't generate or create a whole lot of chances. The Crusaders carried most of the play, had a ton of opportunities, hit the post/or crossbar three or four times. Jari Kykkanen played well but didn't have much help in front of him.
Another game, another loss. With seven games remaining in the regular season, will Vernon even win a game? Since November 29th the Vipers have just six wins in twenty six games. This team is pretty bad and hasn't been fun to watch this season. It's been a terrible season from the start. On a positive note, win or lose, I always enjoy listening to Graham Turnbull and his broadcasts
Agree with last thought, Graham is very good! Come on out and support team…only four games to go!
I think most of the players have checked out, some a while ago. Will be interesting to see if any players come back if a coaching change isn't made. Feel so bad for the players, never had a chance this season, some have even regressed.
Jan 9th for players trade deadline with the Western hockey league. We should make it the same as better for coaches, players and the league. Feb 10 is a joke as the season is almost over and the players have little time to jel as a team and the coaches at least have a little control from this revolving door league. The owners really need to spend some time looking at the future.
The Vipers got the help they needed this weekend from other teams . But they got a big disappointing 0 . Could have been with in 6 points and made a crazy finish to the end . But to no one’s surprise they were not very competitive in both losses !! Long spring and summer in Vernon with no playoff hockey .
