The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have named former Vernon Vipers defenceman Sol Seibel captain for the 2018-19 season:
Seibel played parts of two seasons in Vernon (2016-2018) playing in 77 games with the Vipers collecting (1-goal-12-assists-13-points). The Vipers traded Seibel and future considerations to the Alberta Junior Hockey League Bonnyville Pontiacs for forward Derek Brown January 8th 2018. Seibel never played a game with Bonnyville was traded to Salmon Arm January 10th 2018.

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are excited to announce that Sol Seibel has been named as the captain for the 2018-2019 BCHL season.
This is Sol’s third season in the BCHL, and first full year with the Silverbacks. His rookie season was spent in Vernon, and last year he was traded to the Silverbacks midway through the season.
The Kamloops defenceman has played in 92 regular season BCHL games scoring two goals and adding 18 assists for 20 points.
