The 2-2-2-0 Vernon Vipers are coming off a 2-1 overtime loss to the Surrey Eagles Saturday in Chilliwack at the BCHL Showcase. Tonight's the second of six regular season meetings vs the Wild. Wenatchee spoiled the Vipers home opener with a 5-3 victory to open the 2018-19 regular season. These two teams will meet again December 1st in Vernon. Tonight's the first of a two game home stand. The Snakes play four of their next five and six of their next eight games at home. The Vipers come into action tonight riding a three game losing streak, have lost four of their first six games. Vernon sits 6th in the Division are only two points out of 1st place. Several roster moves were made this week with second year forward Josh Prokop leaving the Vipers for the Western Hockey League, while the Vipers signed former Kamloops Blazers netminder Max Palaga and sent first year forward Nicholas Wildgoose to Coquitlam for defenceman Landon Fuller.

The 4-3-0-0 defending BCHL/Doyle Cup champion Wenatchee Wild make their second of three visits to Kal Tire Place, are coming off a 5-3 loss Wednesday night in West Kelowna. Wenatchee comes into tonight having lost back to back games. Tonight is the Wild's eighth game of a current eleven game road trip. Wenatchee has yet to play at home, started the 2018-19 regular season with an eleven game road trip. The Wild don't return home until October 12th vs Nanaimo in the teams home opener.
