Merritt Centennials forward Mathieu Gosselin has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 16, the league announced Monday.
Gosselin put up five goals and three assists for eight points in the Centennials three wins this week and is now tied with teammate Bradley Cocca for second in overall scoring in the BCHL and is also tied for first in goals.

On Friday, Gosselin chipped in with a goal and an assist in the Centennials 7-5 home win over the defending league champion Wenatchee Wild. The Quebec City native finished his week with another two-goal effort, this time in a 5-2 road win over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks and was named the game’s first star.
