Thirteen years ago today (April 9th 2007) In Game 2 of the BCHL LeagueFinals best of seven series vs the Nanaimo Clippers, Taylor Langford scored at 13:22 of double overtime, giving the hometown Clippers a 2-1 double overtime win in front of 1,783 fans at the Frank Crane Arena. Nanaimo outshot Vernon 50-36 Michael Garman made 35 saves in the win, while Nick Olynyk made 48 saves in the loss. Nanaimo took a 2-0 series lead. The Vipers returned home to win games 3 & 4 before the Clippers took games 5 & 6 winning the Fred Page Cup in six games, would advance to the Doyle Cup vs the Camrose Kodiaks.
