Thirteen years ago today (April 3rd 2007) In Game 5 of the Interiordivision Finals best of seven series vs the Penticton Vees, Andrew Coburn, Connor Jones & Kirk Meaver scored for the Vipers, while Nick Olynyk stopped all 26 Penticton shots for the win/shutout in a 3-0 Vipers win in front of 1,630 fans at Memorial Arena. Penticton outshot Vernon 26-16. This was Olynyk's second of back to back shutouts after shutting out the Vees 8-0 in Game 4. With the win Vernon won the series 4-1 advancing to the BCHL League Finals vs the Nanaimo Clippers.
