I like the sounds of this trade. I had to look up some info/stats on Derek Brown. Brown was in his third season with the Pontiacs, has put up some good numbers over three seasons in the AJHL. Brown now leads the Vipers in scoring with twenty goals and is fourth in points with thirty eight.

Brown has some size and will be the seventh twenty year old on the Viper roster. I wonder whats going on with Tanner Wishnowski? Does this mean his days are finished as a Viper? Wishnowski is also a twenty year old and hasn't played since late October.

Brown will definitely add some scoring to the Vernon lineup and experience. The question is, where will Mark Ferner place Brown in the lineup?

Tough to see Sol Seibel go. I really liked the kid and thought he improved from Day 1. The Snakes had eight defencemen so someone had to go. It looks like the Vipers are making a run for a championship. Trading away Seibel who is only 18 yrs old would have been back next season and probably the following season. Someone like Seibel is replaceable, and you'll see more like him at training camp next summer.

This is the third trade the Vipers have made with Bonnyville this season.
