Cherkowski played last year with three different teams (Vernon, Wenatchee & Chilliwack). Cherkowski had (4-goals-2-assists-6-points) in 8 exhibition games with the Chiefs this year.
Cherkowski played one game with the 2017-18 Vernon Vipers before playing his first full season with the 2018-19 Vernon Vipers. The Vipers traded Cherkowski to the Wenatchee Wild September 17th 2019 for future considerations. In 58 games with the Vipers, Cherkowski collected (2 goals-11-assists-13-points).
