The 3-4-0-0 Defending Interior Division Champion Vernon Vipers are coming off a 1-0 loss Friday at the BCHL Showcase to the hometown Penticton Vees. This afternoon is the Vipers second and final game of the Showcase. Today is the second game of a three game road trip before opening a two game home stand. After today Vernon will play fourteen of there next seventeen games on the road. The Snakes have lost back to back games for the first time this season. The Vipers opened the 2019-20 regular season in West Kelowna, come away with a 4-2 win September 6th. These two teams wont meet again until January 24th in West Kelowna.

The 1-9-2-0 West Kelowna Warriors are coming off a 3-2 loss Friday morning in Penticton at the BCHL Showcase to the defending league champion Prince George Spruce Kings. Today is the Warriors second and final game at the Showcase. The Vipers & Warriors are meeting for the first time at the BCHL Showcase. The Warriors have lost eight straight only have one win in there first eleven games this season. West Kelowna's one and only victory this season, was a 8-5 win in Langley September 13th. Boy are they bad! I have been a fan for decades this is the worst team I have ever seen! Alberta owner, Alberta coaches, son who shouldn't be there, up the ticket price for Seniors! All adds up to people staying away! I didn't get seasons this year because I knew what the new owner would do! Thankful I didn't! You won't see me at another game! How can a true Viper fan identify with this team! Even Graham Turnbull is shaking his head, you can tell by his broadcast, I feel sorry for him!
They will soon find out that they are the Vernon Vipers not the John Glen Vipers!!! A storied team being run by a used car salesman. Go back to Alberta and let somebody with integrity buy the team!!! I spend my money watching the North Okanagan Knights 15 minus the road now.zA bunch of local kids with a real good coach and entertaining as all get out.
To the first Anonymous poster who said this is the worst team they have ever seen. I have been watching/following junior hockey in Vernon my entire life and had season tickets since 1990 and this is not the worst team ever! I know the team doesn't look very good but were only eight games into the regular season. I agree the team is struggling and hasn't played very well to date, but it's still early. Mark Ferner's Vipers didn't look all that great last year and struggled up until Christmas. I have seen much worse teams then the 2019-20 Vernon Vipers. In 1965 the Vernon Blades only won four games. In 1977 the Vernon Vikings only won ten games. In 1980 the Vernon Lakers only won eight games. In 1981 the Vernon Lakers only won eight games. In more recent years Joe Oliver's 2000-01 Vernon Vipers that missed the playoffs for the first time in twenty years were one of the more recent bad Viper teams. The two seasons Jason Williamson was behind the bench, the Vipers missed the playoffs and were pretty bad. & in 2015-16 Mark Ferner's Vipers made the playoffs on the final day of the season, only to lose in five games in the 1st round of the playoffs. That season there was lots of rumors of fighting between players etc. Now you want to say this years Vernon Vipers after only eight games are the worst Vernon team ever? Lets wait a few months before we start writing off the season already.
