The 3-3-0-0 Defending Interior Division Champion Vernon Vipers make there first of four regular season visits to the South Okanagan Events Centre are coming off a 7-2 loss Saturday to the visiting Cowichan Capitals. The Snakes last regular season victory in Penticton was a 3-2 overtime win, February 8th 2019. The Vipers & Vees will meet again in two weeks, October 18th in the Peach City. Tonight's the first of two games at the BCHL Showcase and the first game of a three game road trip. The Vipers are 2-1 on the road this season, play sixteen of there next nineteen games away from home. Last year Vernon went 14-10-3-1 on the road, losing two of three regular season games in Penticton last year. This is only the second time the Vipers & Vees have met in the BCHL Showcase. The Vees & Vipers first and only meeting at the BCHL Showcase was 2012 in Chilliwack. Michael Rebry scored at 2:56 of double overtime giving Penticton a 3-2 double overtime victory over Vernon September 8th 2012.
