Ex Vipers Captain Marritt Scores First Career Collegiate Goal:

Former Vernon Vipers forward/captain Connor Marritt scored his first collegiate

goal Saturday in an 8-3 victory over the University of St. Thomas.

Marritt is in his second season at the University of Northern Michigan. Marritt had four assists last season in 29 games with the Wildcats.

Marritt played three seasons in Vernon from 2017-2020. Marritt was captain of the Vipers during the 2019-20 season, his final season of Junior hockey. In 165 games with the Vipers, Marritt collected (35-goals-62-assists-97-points).

Very nice, looks like he bunted it out of the air, great hand/eye coordination. The first one is always the toughest to get and it is good to get it early in the season. After watching him for 3 seasons with the Vipers we know he just gets better with age and maturity. A very good hockey player but an even better guy off the ice. Congrats Connor, we are all rooting for you.
