The 0-0-0-0 defending Interior Division regular season Champion Penticton Vees are coming off a 5-2 win Saturday over the visiting Salmon Arm Silverbacks. The Vees went 5-0 during the preseason open the regular season with a three game home stand. Penticton plays six of their first eight games at home. The Vees have eight players returning from last season. The Vees & Vipers were set to play each other in 2019 during the playoffs but the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. These two teams met at the Okanagan Cup exhibition series last year, with the Vees winning the Okanagan Cup 3-2 in overtime November 14th 2020. The Vees will honour the 1986 Centennial Cup Champion Penticton Knights before tonight's hockey game.
