Capitals Name Ex Viper Defenceman Robertson New Assistant Coach:

The Cowichan Capitals have named former Vernon

Vipers defenceman Sean Robertson new Assistant Coach.

Capitals announce 2021/22 Hockey Staff | Cowichan Capitals

Robertson retired from professional hockey at the end of the 2019-20 season. Robertson spent the 2019-20 season with the Elite Ice Hockey League Glasgow Clan, a Scottish professional hockey team & the Briancon Red Devils a professional hockey team from Europe. 

Robertson played in 11 games with Merrimack College during the 2012-13 season before leaving for the University of Guelph in 2015. Robertson left the University of Guelph after the 2015-16 season before signing his first professional contract with the Southern Professional Hockey League Fayetteville FireAntz in 2016. From 2016-2018 Robertson played in the ECHL & Southern Professional Hockey League with six different teams (Fayetteville FireAntz, Utah Grizzlies, Knoxville Ice Bears, Fayetteville Marksmen, Reading Royals & Florida Everblades) before playing in Ferance in 2018. 

Robertson spent his first six seasons in the BCHL playing for the Victoria Grizzlies before being traded to Vernon in his final season of Junior hockey. The Vipers traded Zach McPhee & future considerations to the Victoria Grizzlies December 12th 2011 for Robertson. In 31 games with the Vipers, Robertson collected (0-goals-4-assists-4-points).
