The Vernon Vipers make their second of three regular season visits to the South Okanagan Events Centre. Tonight is the first game of a two game road trip. Vernon will play four of the next five games away from home. The Vipers are coming off a 5-0 win over the visiting Alberni Valley Bulldogs Sunday afternoon. The Vipers will play the first three games of this season series in Penticton before hosting the Vees for the final three games of this series. The Vipers lost 3-2 in Penticton September 16th in the Vees home opener. Vernon's last win at the South Okanagan Events Centre was a 2-1 victory on February 11th 2015. The Vipers have struggled in Penticton the last four seasons, have only three wins in their last sixteen games in Penticton going 3-11-0-2. The Vipers have won three of their last five games and are 5-5-0-0 in their last ten. Vernon has lost three of their last five road games sit 4th in the Division are seven points up on Trail and three points back of West Kelowna and eight points back of Salmon Arm.

The defending Western Canada Cup Champion Penticton Vees are coming off a 8-2 victory in Coquitlam Saturday. The Vees return home after a two game road trip, where they saw their 23 game winning streak snapped in Langley Friday night. Penticton lost in Salmon Arm opening night of the regular season and didnt lose again until last weekend in Langley. This is the second game of a six game series between these two teams, who will meet again in just over a week on December 4th in Penticton. The Vees have had the Vipers number the past four year's going 21-7-0-0. The Vees are 12-0-0-0 at home have won seventeen straight at the SOEC going back to last season. Penticton's last regular season loss at home was a 2-1 loss to the visiting Vernon Vipers on February 11th 2015. The Vees have just seventeen losses at home since the 2012-13 regular season. The Vees have won twenty four of their last twenty six games sit atop the BCHL with a 24-2-0-0 record are ranked #1 in Canada as the best Junior A hockey club. Penticton is thirteen points up on 2nd place Salmon Arm and twenty one points up on the 4th place Vipers.
