I'm hoping the new forward they signed today, plays hard and well as Matt Cooke says in his comments. I'm thinking why the new player doesn't show a lot of points is maybe he wasn't getting lots of ice time, so hopefully he can work hard with the Vipers and improve his stats from last season.
Skadauskas turns 19 in a couple of months, has some size but only had 6 pts last season playing in the Western Hockey League. How will he adjust and adapt to the BCHL? With all these new player signings, you have to wonder is there any room for players wanting to return from last season?
As previously mentioned it would be nice to find out which players from last year will be returning. I am sure Cooke has contacted all his previous player and secured a commitment to play again this coming year? All the signings are good but lets hear the full projected lineup. There has not been a lot of change from Viper Head Office keeping us in the dark. This should not be a secret, rather a way to help build interest/excitement for the upcoming season. Just not a good business decision for an organization that needs consumer involvement.
We all know signing a player means nothing. They are easily released. A commitment or signing means nothing.
Ya, what he said!
