Fudger's suspension is for his hit on Surrey Eagles captain Hudson Schandor Sunday afternoon in Surrey. Schandor left the game and didn't return. Fudger was given a five minute major for a blow to the head. Vernon won 3-2 in a shootout.
I watched the Vipers/Eagles game on my computer Sunday and the hit looked a little similar to Michael Matheson's hit on Elias Pettersson last year. I wouldn't say it was as violent but it did look a little similar. Now you have to remember I was watching the game on my computer, and didn't see a replay of the hit/play.
