Former Vernon Vipers goaltender Andrew Shortridge has been named a CCM/AHCA Hockey Division I Second Team All-American.
Shortridge finished his third season at Quinnipiac University recently was named ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Year & was one of five finalists for the 2019 Mike Richter Award.
Shortridge attended the Los Angeles Kings development camp in June 2018 signed a one year contract with the San Jose Sharks April 3rd 2019.
Shortridge played one season in Vernon (2015-16). In 44 games with the Vipers Shortridge went 19-25 with two shutouts posting a 3.15 GAA

Bobcats Junior Goaltender Becomes Fourth Player Recognized in Program History
BUFFALO, N.Y. – Quinnipiac men's ice hockey junior goaltender Andrew Shortridge (Anchorage, Alaska) has been named a CCM/AHCA Hockey Division I Second Team All-American, as announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association on Friday, April 12 at the NCAA Division I Men's Frozen Four.
Shortridge is Quinnipiac's fourth AHCA All-American in program history as he joins Sam Anas in 2014 and 2016, Eric Hartzell in 2013 and Reid Cashman who as a three-time All-American from 2004-07.
Shortridge is one of four ECAC Hockey players to be named an CCM/AHCA All-American for the 2018-19 season.
He has been one of the top goaltenders in the nation throughout the season as he ranks first with a .940 save percentage and second with 1.51 GAA. He tied for 14th with 18 wins while his .704 winning percentage was eighth in the nation. Shortridge also led ECAC Hockey in all categories except total wins, in which he was second.
Following the season, Shortridge signed a one-year contract with the San Jose Sharks and was assigned to the AHL's San Jose Barracuda. He was one of five Quinnipiac players to sign professional contracts this offseason.
Shortridge finished his Quinnipiac career with a 42-26-4 record along with a 1.97 GAA and .923 save percentage along with 10 shutouts in 78 games played. His GAA and save percentage are third all-time in program history, ranking just behind Michael Garteig '16 and Eric Hartzell '13 who finished their careers with 1.96 GAA and .924 save percentages. He also finished tied for second in program history with 10 shutouts.
