Cherkowski Commits To Merrimack

Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are very pleased to announce that 2000 born Nick Cherkowski has committed to Merrimack College.
They 18 year old Vernon product has 4 points in his first season with the Vipers which includes his first BCHL goal coming last Saturday in Alberni Valley.
“We are absolutely thrilled for Nick and his family,” says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers, Mark Ferner. “He’s a great player, teammate and person and its always special when these commitments happen to local kids.”
Merrimack College plays out of the NCAC Division 1 hockey program based out of North Andover, Massachusetts.

In other Vipers roster news, 18 year old Max Palaga has joined the WHL’s Everett Silvertips after his playing rights were moved from Kamloops to Everett in a trade.
Palaga put up solid numbers in 5 starts with the Vipers, posting a goals against average of under 2, a save percentage of .943 and one shutout.
