I watched tonight's game online. The 3rd period and overtime/shootout kept cutting in and out and was hard to watch at times. I thought the Vipers played well enough to win but once again struggled offensively. I thought the Kings had the better of the chances through out the game. Jagger Williamson with a huge goal inside the final minute with the goaltender pulled, gives Vernon a single point for a second straight game. The Vipers are now 0-5 in overtime/shootouts this year. Ben Sanderson made his Vipers debut this evening while Josh Latta and Sebastian Streu returned to the Vipers lineup. Vernon has now lost back to back games and three of their last five sit last in the Interior Division. Vernon has just four wins in their last thirteen games.
Instead of focusing on “loses”why not look at it as A recent 5 out 6 point week and a 3 out of 4 point weekend. Vipers successfully managed those stats all while continuing to play short handed and some games on the road. The interior appears to be the stronger division with very little separation between the top and bottom teams. There are still teams with games in hand and our +/- is now in the positive. So again, let’s not panic. Coaching staff knows what they’re doing. Vipers are moving in the right direction.
