CHIEF CHIPS: The Chiefs continue to receive inquiries from junior A teams about Brody Dale, but the 18-year-old (he turns 19 on Oct. 10), “has made it perfectly clear” he’s not going anywhere unless he has a good chance to stick.

“A lot of calls have come from Manit oba and Alberta, but Brody wants to stay in B.C., so that’s his focus right now,” said Law. “I’m sure when people are looking at his numbers and his play more closely, there are going to be a lot more calls.”

Law conceded that he and his coaches have been working with Dale on the defensive part of his game.

“Once he fine-tunes that, wherever he goes, he’ll stick for sure.”

The 7-0 start for the Chiefs isn’t the best for coach Law. He was behind the bench with the Osoyoos Coyotes when they went 10-0 in the 2014-15 season.
