What's the bet? How many "Blow to the Head" penalties will we see at tonights game? The league has made an effort to eliminate such play, rightfully so. However the referees appear to have overreacted and are handing these calls out like candy at Halloween. Checking the League Discipline page, it appears the BCHL is calling more of these penalties than other leagues. With the speed of the game and the resulting suspensions it is imperative to get these calls right. Call them when it is clear that the head is contacted but give some benefit of the doubt to the players. We have taken fighting out of this league but let's not take hitting out also.

The board of review for referees has too look long and hard at this blow to the head stuff and educate the ref's on making good decisions otherwise it will affect the game and attendance to games will be less as the game itself will change and that will not be good
