The Western Hockey League Kamloops Blazers have traded Max Palaga to the Everett Silvertips.
The Blazers released Palaga September 25th 2018 joined/signed with the Vipers September 25th 2018.

GOALTENDER MAX PALAGA DEALT TO EVERETT SILVERTIPS
Kamloops, BC – Kamloops Blazers General Manager Matt Bardsley announced today that the hockey club has sent 18-year-old goaltender Max Palaga to the Everett Silvertips in exchange for a sixth round pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.
Palaga has played in five games this season with the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL and has a 2-2-0-0 record with a 1.77 goals against average and a .943 save percentage.
“This trade will give Max an opportunity to continue to play at the WHL level. We’d like to thank Max for everything he has done as a Kamloops Blazer and wish him all the best in Everett,” commented Bardsley.
In addition to the trade, the Blazers have added 17-year-old goaltender Rayce Ramsay to their roster for the next two weeks as 16-year-old goaltender Dylan Garand is competing at the Under-17 World Hockey Challenge with Canada – Team Red.
Ramsay has played in six games with the Humboldt Broncos of the SJHL and has a 4-2-0-0 record with a 3.03 goals against average and a .923 save percentage.

EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips), six-time U.S. Division champion and defending Western Conference champions of the Western Hockey League, have acquired goaltender Max Palaga (Pah-LAY-gah) from the Kamloops Blazers in exchange for a sixth round selection in the 2020 WHL Draft, Silvertips general manager Garry Davidson announced today.
Palaga, a 2000-born goaltender, has suited up in 18 games with the Blazers in his WHL career with a 5-7-0-1 record and 3.70 goals-against-average.
He earned his first career victory last season with 23 saves against the Vancouver Giants on Nov. 3, and had a career high 38 saves against the Silvertips in downtown Everett on Feb. 18.
This season, Palaga has five games in net with the Vernon Vipers (BCHL), carrying a 2-2-1 record, a .943 save percentage, one shutout, and 1.77 goals-against-average.
The 6-foot-1, 170 pound netminder was originally listed by the Blazers and made his WHL debut in 2016-17, in nearly 19 minutes of action against the Victoria Royals with six saves.

This is what I was worried about when the Vipers first signed Palaga. Anytime the Vipers/or another team in the league acquires or signs a former Western Hockey League player, these are the chances you take. The Vipers have lost a few former WHL players in years past in the same kind of situation like Max Palaga. Stewart Thiessen, Cody Fowlie & Andy Zulyniak are just a few that come to mind.
I really liked Palaga and thought he was the better of the two Viper goaltenders. A big loss for the Snakes who now have to find another goaltender.
Yes, certainly a big loss if he decides to leave Viperland. Has he left? I see no reason why he wouldn't. The unfortunate part of this is that the Viper's let Aiden Hosein go in order to make a spot for Palaga. Hosein showed well in camp, made the team but did not really get a good chance to settle in and play once the season started. I felt bad for him. Suppose it is hockey Karma!!!

Now we really don't stand a chance this season. He was carrying us. Especially with Jesse Lansdell taking suspensions left and right, we are lacking in defense, offense, and now especially goaltending
