Vipers HHOF – #15 Kellen Jones
Posted by HockeyTube on Aug 14th, 2016
#15 Kellen Jones played for the BCHL Vernon Vipers between the 2006 and 2010 season and now becomes the 5th person to be inducted into the Viper’s ‘Highlight Hall Of Fame’ alongside his brother Connor who was inducted earlier this month. Let’s be serious…you can’t have one Jones twin without the other! In fact while Connor might have scored more goals than Kellen, it was only because #15 was one the setting up most of Connor’s goals.
Kellen was not only one of the team’s best play makers but he also went into the dirty zones to score goals never afraid to take a hit to score a big goal. He like his brother were fantastic on the fore check and made it difficult on the oppositions defence. As you’ll see in the video lots of players were hit on the end boards.
Jones helped the Vipers win a pair of back to back RBC National Championships in 2009 and 2010. He along with his brother earned scholarships to NCAA Quinnipiac. Following an extremely successful college career, Kellen will be joining his brother Connor on the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
