Rangers Assign Former Vipers Tambellini, Musico & Noonan To American Hockey League:

The New York Rangers have assigned former Vernon Vipers forward Adam Tambellini, former Vernon Vipers defenceman Garrett Noonan & former Vernon Vipers goaltender PJ Musico to the American Hockey League Hartford Wolf Pack.  All three players attended the Rangers Training Camp in October before being assisgned to the AHL.

Tambellini is in his second season with the Wolf Pack, played his first professional season last year with the Hartford Wolf Pack, after signing an entry-level contract with the New York Rangers on March 10th 2015.

Tambellini attended the New York Rangers 2014 Prospect Development Camp, left the University of North Dakota in January 2014 for the Western Hockey League joining the Calgary Hitmen January 8th 2014 after being acquired in a trade with the Portland Winterhawks.

Tambellini played a season and a half in Vernon (2011-13) before being traded to Surrey on January 10th 2013 along with future considerations (Michael Roberts) for Mason Blacklock & future considerations (Jordan Klimek and Demico Hannoun). In 91 regular season games with the Vipers Tambellini collected (49-goals-46-assists-95-points). Tambellini was drafted 64th overall in the 3rd Round by the New York Rangers at the 2013 NHL Draft.

Noonan started last season with the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) Cincinnati Cyclones, splitting last year between Cincinnati & the American Hockey League (AHL) Milwaukee Admirals.

After four seasons at Boston University Noonan signed a Entry-Level Deal with the Nashville Predators on April 22nd 2014 also signed an amateur try-out contract (ATO) with the American Hockey League (AHL) Milwaukee Admirals. Noonan has spent the past two seasons playing with Cincinnati & Milwaukee. Noonan was drafted by Nashville in Round 4 #112 overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Noonan played one season in Vernon (2009-2010) In 58 regular season games with the Vipers Noonan collected (2-goals-16-assists-18-points).

After playing four years of University at Penn State, Musico signed his first professional contract with the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) Greenville Swamp Rabbits October 13th 2015 before being traded February 9th 2015 to the ECHL Quad City Mallards. The American Hockey League (AHL) Chicago Wolves signed Musico February 27, 2016 where he would finish the season. Musico would head back to Greenville signing with the Swamp Rabbits July 7, 2016.

Musico attended the Vernon Vipers 2008 Training Camp before being released.

Pack Receive eight from Rangers

Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld today announced the addition to the Wolf Pack roster of eight players assigned by the parent New York Rangers.

Forwards Chris Brown, Steven Fogarty, Ryan Gropp, Philip McRae and Adam Tambellini, and defensemen Calle Andersson, Tommy Hughes and Michael Paliotta, have arrived from Ranger training camp.  The Wolf Pack roster now includes 33 players, 19 forwards, 11 defensemen and three goaltenders:

Goal (3): Brandon Halverson, Jeff Malcolm, P.J. Musico

Defense (11): Calle Andersson, Desmond Bergin, Justin DaSilva, Troy Donnay, Spiro Goulakos, Joe Houk, Tommy Hughes, Garrett Noonan, Michael Paliotta, Matt Prapavessis, Sean Sullivan
