The Western Hockey Leagues Medicine Hat Tigers have traded former Vernon Vipers forward Cole Sanford to the Regina Pats.
Sanford was in his fourth season and Captain with the WHL Medicine Hat Tigers. Sanford was a affiliated player "AP" with the 2011-12 Vipers went pointless in eight games. In 33 games with the Tigers this year Sanford had (21-goals-17-assists-38-points).

Medicine Hat, AB -- The Medicine Hat Tigers have made a deadline deal sending 95 born Cole Sanford to the Regina Pats in exchange for a package of players and picks.
Heading to the Tigers are a 2nd Round Bantam Pick in 2018, a 3rd Round Bantam Pick in 2016 and a 5th Round Pick in 2017.
Player wise the Tigers get 99 born prospect Gary Haden. Haden currently plays for the CFR Chemical Bisons of the Alberta Midget Hockey League. In 26 games this season, Haden leads all skaters in scoring with 44 points (16G, 28A).
Also involved in the trade is 95 born forward Brian Williams, Williams was involved in an earlier move coming to Regina from the Tri-City Americans.
