Former Viper Captain Honoured

Former Vernon Vipers captain Chris Crowell will be honoured tonight at Kal Tire Place, prior to the Vipers game against Salmon Arm.
Crowell will have his #18 jersey retired by the team and owner Duncan Wray.
The now 27 year old from Williams Lake played four seasons for the Vipers (2005-2009), which included winning the RBC Cup in 2009.
Crowell, a forward, is the Vipers all time leader in penalty minutes with 596 PIMs in 213 games.
After his BCHL days, he went on to a college career at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Viper's Highlight Hall Of Fame - #18 Chris Crowell

The first Viper’ Highlight Hall of Famer is former Captain #18 Chris Crowell. He still holds the record for most franchise penalty minutes. He spent four seasons with the BCHL club, leading the team to a National Championship in 2009. He earned an NCAA scholarship to the University of Alaska-Anchorage.
