Komets Release Former Viper Defenceman McNelly:

The ECHL Fort Wayne Komets have released former Vernon Vipers

defenceman Cade McNelly.

McNelly never played a game with the ECHL Fort Wayne Komets. The Komets signed McNelly to a tryout agreement August 28th 2023. 

McNelly played the 2022-23 season at SAIT (Southern AB Inst. of Tech). In 10 games last season with SAIT, McNelly went pointless.

McNelly attended the Los Angeles Kings 2021 training camp.

McNelly played parts of five seasons in the Western Hockey League from 2017-22 with the Seattle Thunderbirds and Vancouver Giants before signing with the 2021-22 Vernon Vipers. The Vipers signed McNelly January 10th 2022. In 19 games with the Vipers, McNelly collected (3-goals-0-assists-3-points).
