They should have traded Jason McKee instead!!
There is probably enough players that the vipers have committed to and then gotten rid of, that they could put together a team that could beat the vipers on any given night. This isn’t just a Jason problem, it starts with leadership from the top whether that is the owners or the president. There is no desire to get better

So like I understand we have a scoring issue but at what point do we start looking at the coaching issue cause he hasn’t even produced a winning record since he took over for mark ferner
we removed one of the best coaches we've ever had and replaced him with someone who is obsessed with recruiting out of his former Albertan home and ownership was after that plan from day 1. Why try to be like a team from a second rate league instead of just being like the best junior franchise in Canada? Should never have let Ferner go

Hopefully some home cooking brings out the best in Elliott and his 4 BCHL teams in 4 years is not a bad sign.
These latest moves indicate a failing grade for Vernon’s scouting & recruitment. We are only 13 games into the season and still have no stability in our player roster. I am sure there are players squeezing their sticks & wondering when they’ll be shown the door. A competent BCHL Coach/GM should realize that the players can not perform to their potential when surrounded with so much instability. Very disappointing for the fans but even more so for the players. It is long overdue that we “keep the players and change the message”. The ownership is the only ones not seeing this. Time to wake up Mr Glen!!!
How about we look at it this way. How many of you think that some players are hoping that they do get traded so that they can leave the toxic environment that Jason Mckee has created?
I have no problem with the Vipers making a trade or a few trades to try and improve the team, but look how many trades or roster moves the team has made and were only thirteen games into the season. Marty said it best in a previous comment, its like a revolving door.
Only thirteen games into the season with the team average at best and inconsistent, it looks to me as if management is hitting the panic button. This can be dangerous at times. Players might to start thinking their next or whos next? With players coming and going in and out of the lineup, this can cause turmoil within the group or players don't have a chance to gel and get to know each other, with new trades happening often. Sometimes lots of trades in one season can harm a team rather then help a team.
I think it was the 2015-16 Vipers that seemed to always be making trades or roster moves and the team never improved or bonded.
Bobby C could be right... With the team inconsistent and poor coaching, maybe some players have asked to be traded? Is Luke Lavery or Ethan Rowland one of them?
I liked Luke Lavery but he was inconsistent at times. Will see how Connor Elliott is. The Vipers will be Elliott's fourth team.
I have said before, I think on paper the Vipers have a much better team compared to last year. I think coaching is the problem and Jason McKee is the one that has to go! Bring in a coach that can relate to the players, teach them, improve not only their game and skills but improve the team as the season goes along. Something McKee has yet to do since coming to Vernon. McKee's teams have been average at best, mostly inconsistent, don't improve and don't win many games. Its hard to believe the Vipers chased away Mark Ferner and replaced him with Jason McKee.
Last season was one of the worst Viper teams I have witnessed in all my years following the team and this season isnt much better after thirteen games. After last years mess and dismal season the Vipers needed to put together a more competitive team, a team that is exciting and entertaining to watch instead have almost the exact same style of team as last season. This is what happens when you have poor recruiting/scouting and poor coaching.
The Vipers better listen to their fanbase and improve this team or season ticket holders/fans will stop coming. I know several season ticket holders that quit coming this season. Almost everyone knows how poor this team is and how poor Jason McKee is except management.
The real question is will he report? Nobody willingly plays for Vernon anymore. I gave up on this management group years ago. Good thing people can walk over to the KTP north rink and watch some minor hockey. Probably better coaching too!!!
Players with the vipers as I have said before know the difference between good coaches and how they relate as to improving there game and confidence and coaches that just do not have it. Time will tell. Sha na na na ,Sha na na na good bye.
