Swamp Rabbits Add Former Vipers Coughlin & MacDonald To Teams Season-Ending Roster:

The ECHL announced the Season-Ending Rosters as submitted by each of

its member teams. Season-Ending Rosters may include up to 20 players. Season-Ending Rosters cannot include any players who did not sign an ECHL contract in 2021-22. The ECHL Greenville Swamp Rabbits have 20 players listed on their Season-Ending Roster. Two of those twenty players is former Vernon Vipers defenceman Johnny Coughlin & former Vernon Vipers forward Ayden MacDoanld.

Coughlin played the 2021-22 season with the ECHL Greenville Swamp Rabbits & Cincinnati Cyclones. The Cyclones traded Coughlin to Greenville January 28th 2022. In 24 games last season with the Swamp Rabbits, Coughlin collected (2-goals-12-assists-14-points).

Greenville's Head Coach/GM & director of hockey opperations is former Vernon Vipers forward Andrew Lord. Lord has spent the past two seasons with the Swamp Rabbits. Lord played with the Vernon Vipers from 2002-2004.

Coughlin played four seasons at the College of Holy Cross from 2015-2019 before signing his first professional contract with the ECHL Maine Mariners March 15th 2019. Coughlin has spent his entire professional career playing in the ECHL with the Mainer Mariners, Norfolk Admirals, Rapid City Rush, Cincinnati Cyclones and the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. 

Coughlin played one season in Vernon with the 2014-15 Vernon Vipers. In 55 games with the Vipers, Coughlin collected (3-goals-15-assists-18-points).

MacDonald played the 2021-22 season with the Swamp Rabbits. In 44 games last season, MacDonald collected (20-goals-13-assists-33-points).

MacDonald played four seasons at Brock University from 2017-2022 before signing his first professional contract with the ECHL Greenville Swamp Rabbits January 4th 2022.

MacDonald committed to the Vernon Vipers for the 2014-15 season. The Vipers traded MacDonald & Jake Emilio to the Victoria Grizzlies October 8th 2014 for Brandon Egli, Mitch Meek & future considerations. MacDonald went pointless in 5 games with the Vipers. MacDonald played parts of four seasons in the BCHL with Surrey, Vernon, Victoria & Cowichan from 2013-2017.
