Any word on who may be leaving? At last count we had McKee and 3 assistants, Draper, Morrissette & Sparrow. Possibly a competent scout may have been a better hire? Regardless, the Vipers can add all the staff they want as long as they get us back to respectability real fast. The clock is ticking or the owner will have to make tough decisions.
Assistant Coach Larry Draper is no longer listed on the Vipers website.

Larry Draper is a Consultant now.
Larry Draper is listed on the website as of today as a Consultant under Support Staff
Thanks. He wasn't on their website when I checked around 12pm today.
New coaching staff with a change of attiutude such as lets work as a team rather than the mckee my weigh or the highway is refreshing.I hope this is true and that the owner is listening to its fan base .
I think change is good. The Vipers coaching staff other then Colton Sparrow last season has been together since the 2019-20 season and hasn't put together a decent team yet. The Vipers have struggled and been an average or below average team at best since the 2019-20 season. Last season was one of the worst Vipers teams I have watched in all of my forty plus seasons watching Junior hockey in Vernon. I will give them a little credit as they did improve a little after the trade deadline but went out fairly easily in the opening round of the playoffs. Vipers fans are use to winning and the past few seasons haven't been very exciting or fun to watch. The Vipers management and staff need to put together a much more stronger and competitive team together this season.
I noticed Larry Draper wasn't behind the bench at all last season. Draper was an Assistant GM with the Alberta Junior Hockey League Bonnyville Pontiacs prior to coming to Vernon in 2019. Maybe Draper will be doing more scouting, recruiting, involved in trades etc.
I think Jason McKee should be worried about his job this year. If the Vipers get off to another horrendous start this year like they did last season, a change behind the bench must be made. McKee has yet to prove himself in the BCHL and with the Vipers and Viper fans are getting restless with his average or below average teams.
Draper was the Vipers eye in the sky at Kal Tire Place last year.
Anyone else notice that on the Vipers social media accounts the Vipers literally never interact with comments made to their posts?
VDH... while I agree that change is good I also believe that McKee should be worried about his job. How much will or can change with the replacing of one assistant coach? McKee is both Head Coach & GM. As Head Coach he is 100% RESPONSIBLE for the on ice product and as GM he is 100% RESPONSIBLE for the recruiting. The below average teams we have watched since he arrived are "100% ON HIM". As you say he "has yet to prove himself in the BCHL". To protect his investment Mr Glen better have him on a short leash. Successful business people are not afraid to make change and rarely are satisfied with mediocrity.
I hope Sparrow and Lomicky have a positive effect on the team. Last year I was impressed with how much Sparrow interacted with the players, hopefully Lomicky has a similar approach. I rarely saw the 2 assistants Mckee brought with him speak to the players. These kids need good coaching, constant feedback and reinforcement.
Lomicky isn’t on the roster anymore…..what happened there?
He was on the Vipers bench at tonight's game.
