I don't like this years schedule. The article says the Vipers won't play two teams this season (Chilliwack & Nanaimo). The Vipers play Chilliwack on October 23rd 2021. I like to see all teams at least once and have liked the schedule the past ex amount of years. This year the Vipers won't play some teams and only play some teams once. This means fans won't be able to see every team this season. I don't like how Vipers fans have to wait until February to see the Cranbrook Bucks and then Vernon & Cranbrook will play four straight games vs each other before meeting only once more towards the end of the season. I would have liked to see the Bucks early in the season and then again maybe towards Christmas? Why play four games one after another? I also don't like seeing the same team play in Vernon on back to back nights. The Wenatchee Wild come to Kal Tire Place on November 5th & 6th and then the Wild & Vipers play three straight vs each other February 16th, 18th & 19th. I like a home & home series during the season but not a fan of playing the same team in one city back to back nights or two or more games in a row vs the same the team. This isn't the playoffs. I do like that the league has pushed back the start of training camps, exhibition games and the regular season. I love hockey and watching the Vipers, but going to the rink and watching games in August is crazy.
