Kansas City Mavericks Place Former Viper Shortridge On Reserve:

The ECHL Kansas City Mavericks have placed former Vernon Vipers goaltender

Andrew Shortridge on reserve.

ECHL Transactions - June 4

Shortridge is in his first season with the ECHL Kansas City Mavericks has split this season between the Mavericks & the American Hockey League Stockton Heat. In 14 games this season with the Mavericks, Shortridge is 7-5-1 with one shutout and a 2.93 GAA & in 3 games with the Heat, Shortridge is 1-0-1 with a 1.58 GAA

Shortridge become a free agent this year after the San Jose Sharks didn't offer the former Vernon Vipers goaltender a qualifying contract in October 2020. The American Hockey League Stockton Heat signed Shortridge to a two-way AHL/ECHL contract December 5th 2020. The Heat assigned Shortridge to the Mavericks December 5th 2020.

Shortridge split last year between the American Hockey League San Jose Barracuda and the ECHL Allen Americans. 

Shortridge played three seasons at Quinnipiac University before signing his first professional contract with the San Jose Sharks April 3rd 2019 and an amateur contract with the American Hockey League San Jose Barracuda April 3rd 2019.

Shortridge played one season in Vernon with the 2015-16 Vernon Vipers. In 44 games with the Vipers, Shortridge went 19-25 with two shutouts and a 3.15 GAA
