I watched the Vipers/Warriors game on my computer tonight.

I thought the 1st period was even at times but West Kelowna did have a little extra edge in play at times. The Warriors opened the scoring thirty seconds into the game and capitalized on their chances in the first twenty minutes. The Vipers had some good looks but couldn't solve former Viper goaltender Johnny Derrick.

The Snakes with a very strong 2nd period had all kinds of chances and opportunities early but once again couldn't beat Johnny Derrick. It wasn't until a five minute powerplay late in the period where Vernon would capitalize with two PP goals and cut the West Kelowna lead to 3-2. It was all Vipers who outshot the Warriors 18-9. Vernon was the better team carried most of the play. Johnny Derrick was the difference.

The Vipers were by far the better team and dominated the 3rd period. Johnny Derrick was solid between the pipes making several highlight reel saves, keeping the Tribe in the contest. The Snakes couldn't buy a goal, weren't getting the bounces or puck luck tonight. The Vipers outshot the Warriors 12-4.

The Vipers played a very good hockey game tonight and were the better of the two teams. Vernon fell behind early and had to play catchup for the rest of the night. The Snakes didn't get any bounces or puck luck ran into a hot goaltender this evening who was the difference in the hockey game. This was a very exciting game to watch.

Luke Pakulak, Ryan Shostak, Hunter Donohoe & Cameron MacDonald looked good and played well for the Vipers.

The Warriors opened the scoring early before jumping out to a 3-0 1st period lead. West Kelowna sat back with that three goal lead and heavily relied on Johnny Derrick to keep them in the contest. I thought the Tribe was outplayed for most of the 2nd and 3rd periods. If Vernon doesn't get that five minute major powerplay, I don't think they score the two goals and the games not as close as it looks on the scoreboard.

Billy Sowa, Johnny Derrick, Dylan Brooks, Porter Dawson & Tyson Jugnauth all looked good and played well for the Warriors.
