Sorry for the late update/game summary from today's game. I had Easter dinner tonight so I was unable to watch the Vipers/Warriors game this afternoon. I got home late and well after the Vipers game was over but I got tp watch the Vipers game online once I was home tonight.

I thought the Vipers played very well and looked very good even after giving up the games first goal two minutes in on the powerplay. The Snakes gave up an early first goal in the first two games but have been able to rally and battle back. I thought Vernon had a slight edge in play at times and was the better team at times. The Vipers had a ton of quality chances, either didn't have any puck luck in and around the net, missed on some good chances or were denied by Johnny Derrick. The Snakes blew a 3-1 lead but still managed to battle and score two big goals in the 3rd to come away with the victory. I really liked Vernon's speed and hustle today. The team played with a lot of jump and were skating hard. The Vipers had more zone time and a lot more scoring chances. I know these games don't mean much other then for the kids/scouts but I like the looks of this Vipers team so far. I know it's only been two games but I have been impressed with what I have seen in the two games.

I thought James Porter Jr, Nicholas Remissong, Kjell Kjemhus, Cameron MacDonald, Ryan Shostak, Hunter Donohoe, Desmond Johnson and Seth Bafaro all played well and stood out for the Vipers.

I thought the Warriors got off to a quick start and had the early jump on Vernon. West Kelowna looked good and played well early for at least the first half of that opening frame before the Vipers took over the edge in play in the second half. The Tribe didn't get many bounces in that 1st period could have had a few goals on some opportunities in and around the net, where the Snakes may have caught a few breaks. The missed penalty shot was a big turning point in the hockey game. I thought WK played hard in the 3rd and had a slight edge in play early couldn't solve James Porter Jr. I thought Vernon was the better of the two teams. Former Vipers goaltender Johnny Derrick kept the Tribe in the contest, making several big stops through out the game.

Overall this was a good and exciting game to watch. The officials called a tight game with lots of penalties. One of the linesmen was a female.

I thought Johnny Derrick, Carter Wilkie and Benjamin Woodhouse played well and looked good for the West Kelowna Warriors.

Watching the games on BCHL TV on my computer isn't the same as watching the games live in person. You just don't get the same looks or views from watching the games online compared to being at the games in person. So it can be difficult at times judging players or how the game went.

The Vipers next game is Wednesday afternoon at 1pm vs Salmon Arm
