For the fifth time in franchise history and the second straight post-season the Vernon Vipers & Salmon Arm Silverbacks will meet in the BCHL playoffs. The Vipers swept Salmon Arm in four straight games in the 1st round of last year's BCHL playoffs before being eliminated in the 2nd round in six games by the Wenatchee Wild.
Even after a 4-0 loss Saturday in Penticton, the Salmon Arm Silverbacks still clinched 5th place in the Interior division after the West Kelowna Warriors fell 4-3 in overtime Saturday night in Trail. With the overtime loss West Kelowna finishes the 2018-19 regular season in 6th place. The Warriors will face the defending BCHL Champion Wenatchee Wild in the opening round of the playoffs.
