Former Vernon Vipers forward Brody Dale won the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League scoring race finishing atop the scoring leaders. Dale lead the KIJHL in goals with fifty and in points with one hundred twenty three.
Dale and the Kelowna Chiefs had the best record during the regular season finishing atop the KIJHL standings with a 43-3-1-0-2 record, open the KIJHL playoffs tonight vs the 4th place Osoyoos Coyotes.
Dale is in his fourth season with the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League Kelowna Chiefs. In 45 games this season Dale recorded (50-goals-73-assists-123-points).

Dale started the 2015-16 season with the Chiefs played eight games as an "AP" affiliated player with the Vipers during the 2016-17 season before signing with the Vipers January 10th 2017. Dale finished the year with the Vipers, went pointless in 25 games. Dale was one of thirteen Vipers returning last year, was cut-released after training camp in August 2017 before returning to the Kelowna Chiefs. Dale split last season with the Chiefs and the Manitoba Junior Hockey League OCN Blizzard.
