The 10-3-1-0 Trail Smoke Eaters are coming off a 4-1 victory over the visiting Cowichan Capitals Friday. This is the second meeting of the season, after the Vipers defeated Trail in exhibition 5-3 September 2nd in Vernon. The Vipers eliminated the Smoke Eaters in the second round of the BCHL playoffs last year. Today is the final game of a three game home stand, where the Smoke Eaters are 5-1-1-0 at the Cominco Arena. Trail comes into this afternoon riding a three game winning streak, have won four of their last five and have won eight of their last ten games. The Smokies sit atop the Interior Division one point ahead of Vernon & West Kelowna.
