Training Camp Information?

BC Hockey League training camps start this weekend and lots of teams including the Vernon Vipers have yet to release training camp schedules, times/dates and rosters. The Western Hockey League does a great job at posting all teams training camp schedules and rosters. The BCHL could learn a few lessons from the Western Hockey League on keeping their fans more informed.

Some things never change!!! There is a different group running the team yet the same veil of secrecy on all things than could be used to create some excitement. What is the big deal? Is the ice time not booked yet? Do they not want avid fans dropping by to see kids trying to make the team? The Vipers leak info on new recruits, who may never come to Vernon, but very little else. Viper Head Office probably talks excitement and optimism when they visit local business owners to garner support but make negligible efforts to create the same with their loyal fans. What a dysfunctional organization.
