I have heard it speculated that the big news is a new logo, new name or new uniforms. I don't really care... all I want to see is a competitive hockey club, all the rest is just window dressing. Vipers have had a dismal record the past 2 years, with 15 wins in 54 games each year. In fact, the Vipers have been a very average team since the Glen's took over. Vernon used to be one of the premier franchises in the BCHL, even all of Canada, and had no problem recruiting good players. Those days are far into the rear view mirror. So as far on the big hype I say this... Please don't try to dazzle us with new colors or new promotions, show us with the product on the ice. The fans are getting restless!!!
So the "big news" is maybe new jerseys (colors too?) - a rebrand as you say. Well OK whatever. But for me the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Now we get to see what Matt Cooke head coach and GM is really capable of doing. I want to see wins out of the gate not 0-7
Let’s just say they liked my rebrand idea so much back in January they ran with it, even looks like they used my colour scheme as well! Unfortunately, I used a viper snake, it looks like we’re getting another cobra.

I sure hope this big news on the 20th isn't just a new logo and jerseys? Because to me that isn't Big News
Whatever the big news is sounds exciting and the fans and club are due for some changes.
Unfortunately there will be fans not happy with anything the owners, front office or BCHL does there will be fans not happy.
