Former Vipers McGinley & Stavrianeas Collect Awards At Express Year End Awards Banquet:

The Coquitlam Express held their year end team awards at the

end of the regular season. Former Vernon Vipers forward Carson McGinley was named Unsung Hero while former Vernon Vipers forward Georgios Stavrianeas was named Most Improved Player.

The Express lost in 5 games to the Chilliwack Chiefs in the opening round of the BCHL Playoffs.

McGinley recently finished his second season with the Coquitlam Express. In 49 games this season, McGinley collected (17-goals-18-assists-35-points).

The Express is McGinley's third team the past two seasons. McGinley started the 2024-25 season with the Vernon Vipers, was traded to Sherwood Park November 14th 2024. The Crusaders traded McGinley to Coquitlam December 30th 2024.

McGinley played parts of two seasons with the 2023-24 & 2024-25 Vernon Vipers. The Vernon Vipers signed McGinley January 11th 2024. The Vipers traded McGinley to Sherwood Park November 14th 2024 for defenceman Jordan Gudridge. In 37 games with the Vipers, McGinley collected (6-goals-11-assists-17-points).

Stavrianeas recently finished his first season with the Coquitlam Express. In 42 games this season, Stavrianeas collected (18-goals-14-assists-32-points).

Stavrianeas started the 2025-26 season with the Trail Smoke Eaters. The Smoke Eaters signed Stavrianeas June 10th 2025 was traded to Coquitlam October 23rd 2025. 

The Express is Stavrianeas's fifth team the past two seasons.

Stavrianeas split the 2024-25 season with the North American Hockey League New Hampshire Mountain Kings, BCHL Vernon Vipers & BCHL Penticton Vees.

Stavrianeas committed to the Vernon Vipers May 4th 2023 for the 2023-24 season. Stavrianeas played with the 2023-24 & 2024-25 Vernon Vipers. The Vipers announced January 3rd 2025 Stavrianeas left the team to pursue other opportunities. Shortly after Stavrianeas joined the North American Hockey League New Hampshire Mountain Kings. The Vernon Vipers traded forward Will Schumacher, Georgios Stavrianeas and future considerations to the Victoria Grizzlies February 10th 2025 for forwards Ryan Watt and Finn Kallay. In 76 games with the Vernon Vipers, Stavrianeas collected (12-goals-21-assists-33-points).
