Sad to see Edvin Nilsson get traded. I thought he was our best defenceman and one of the best players this season. Nilsson made a huge improvement from last season to this season, was fourth in team scoring. The Vipers defence hasn't been great this year but Nilsson has been one of the bright spots on the backend.

I like the sounds of Connor Dick. Dick is a veteran 20 year old that is in his fourth season of junior hockey with Chilliwack & Blackfalds and has put up some good numbers. Judging by the comments from the Vipers website, it sounds like they aren't giving up on the season just yet and wanting to make a push for the playoffs.

Ben Bowen never played a single game with the Chiefs is in his first full season in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. Bowen is currently playing with the Markham Royals, has also played with Toronto and Newmarket. In 41 career OJHL games, Bowen has 9 pts. I wonder if he will report to Vernon?

I'm no hockey coach/gm or a scout but it seems like a lot of the players coming and going have been average at best. One average player gets released or leaves and another average player comes in. The Vipers have a handful of good players but the rest are just your average hockey players and is why the Vipers have just 8 wins.

Vipers fans have seen more trades/player movement last season & again this year then any other previous seasons. It's very difficult to follow your team as players are coming and going weekly. From a fans perspective how are these kids suppose to gel, get to know each other and develop and it must be hard on the coaches to have to try and put together new lines every game and adjust to new players in the lineup etc. From the teams perspective, management is trying to improve the team and I get that, but at at the end of the day, no matter how many kids have come and gone, this team hasn't improved and stayed the same the entire season. At some point you would think after so many moves, the team would get better/improve. So from a fans perspective, what is the problem? Is it coaching? scouting? recruiting? the players? Between last season and this season, the Vipers have seen 113 players come and go. That is insane! If your a parent, a player agent or a player and you not only see the roster moves but the team not doing well in the standings, what makes anyone wanting to come here in the future?

Players are coming and going from other teams but no where close the amount the Vipers have seen last season and this season.

Here are the players from this season that are no longer here

Maybe Nilsson asked out. Wanted to go to a team with a better chance in the playoffs. He’ll get that with Chilliwack. Vipers have let some good players go that with a bit more time likely would have been impact players. He wanted a young team initially and has now realized that wasn’t going to work with the team he chose. Working to put something together last minute. Not convinced he’s got the right pieces but let’s hope he proves everyone wrong

Vipersdiehardfan. What is wrong with the coach trade players to other teams for others players and what is wrong with the players that left the vipers to try a different league and a different team or maybe go back to the team that they play on last season.

Huh I liked Nilsson thought he was there best player. Maybe want to give him a chance at going far into the playoffs. What’s the point in this trade, the moves they have made this season doesn’t seem to help

Oh no more Viper deals

All these trades and the team still only has 8 wins. This is exactly like last year

The latest Trade with Nilsson is a big loss to the defense for the vipers but I’m hoping getting Connor Dick from chilliwack will im prove our chances for playoff spot as the stats on the new guy are impressive . This is a huge move.
