I watched tonight's game on FloHockey. This was a very entertaining hockey game. I thought both teams were pretty even in the 1st with tons of opportunities at both ends of the rink. The Vipers were the better team in the 2nd period, carried a lot of the play, had several power play's and chances but were only able to get one goal. The Oilers were hungry and the better team in the 3rd. Okotoks with three quick goals in about four minutes, take a 3-1 lead. Vernon gets to within a goal but with several quality chances can't force overtime. Ben Vatis made some big stops in the 3rd. Both goaltenders were solid tonight in net. The Snakes PP has struggled this season and again tonight, going 0-6
The team and games are way more exciting to watch than last year however, on their current trajectory, 11GP or 20% of the season with 3W & 8L, year end would be 54 GP 15W 39L so, same as last year. Let us all hope that the Vipers can find more wins in the future so that that does not happen. On the bright side they play a way, way, way better game now! Go, Vipers, Go!
I listened to the game last night. Sounded like a good game, other then the third period. Vipers really got to work on the pp. Our young goalie is good.
Was a fun game to watch, the team is much better this year but the wins just aren’t coming. I really hope they don’t get discouraged. It will come if they keep it up!
