Darren G. Zupp | Vernon Morning Star

Zupp played two seasons in Vernon with the 1978-79 Vernon Canadians and the 1980-81 Vernon Lakers. No statistics are available.

The Vernon Canadians & Vernon Lakers were two of seven different team names Vernon's junior hockey team has had since 1961. The Vernon Canadians were around for two seasons, one as the Jr Canadians for the 1961-62 season and again as the Canadians for the 1978-79 season before changing their name to the Vernon Lakers in 1980. The Vernon Lakers were around from 1980-1995 before changing their name to the Vernon Vipers in 1995.

Sending my condolences to his family. I remember Darren with the Vernon Lakers as well as him referee a ton of junior hockey games in Vernon. Sitting in Section B, we never liked Zupp, one of the most hated referees.
