I liked Kresl. Speed, skill and grit. He got off to a slow start as a rookie but got better and better as the season went on. He was one of the better and more consistent Vipers to end the season. I was excited and looking forward to him returning this season but it looks like he’s off to the USHL. You have to wonder how many of these Vipers will actually go to the NAHL or the USHL? The season hasn’t even started and we could see seven Vipers leave for other teams/leagues. I’m a little concerned as the Vipers haven’t said a single word regarding the 2025-26 season. So far the only team with no players committed or signed for the 2025-26 season, it doesn’t look promising.

The second Viper camp will be held this coming week, right after Canada Day. It is by invitation only and the better players from the first camp, a month ago, will be there with perhaps a few new players. The way this team is run is terrible and another non playoff team looks certain. The better players don’t want to come here. It’s not the coach’s fault, it’s ALL on the owner who still thinks that he’s the smartest guy in the room. But he’s not.

I also liked Kresl. It seems like everyone is leaving the Vipers. Will they even have anyone back from last season?

The whole team is leaving.  There will be no veterans left.  Will there even be a team next year?
